LISA MANUEL
A former assistant editor and freelance writer, Lisa Manuel was raised in New York and New England and attended the University of Connecticut . After graduating with honors, she and her husband relocated to Florida where she joined the editorial staff of a reference book publisher.  She began writing romance fiction as a stay-at-home-mom in the mid-nineties, finaling in numerous writing contests including RWA's Golden Heart.  In 2002 a first place win in the Indiana Romance Writers' Golden Opportunity Contest landed Lisa's Regency historical manuscript at the top of an editor’s slush pile.  That experience resulted in the sale of a three-book series for Zebra Books, MOSTLY MARRIED, MOSTLY MAYHEM and MOSTLY A LADY.

In 2005, MOSTLY MARRIED was nominated for the Virginia Romance Writers' Holt Medallion Award in the short historical category.

When not writing, which isn’t often, Lisa enjoys traveling with her family to the places that inspire her writing, and collecting items reminiscent of days gone by.
