Florida Romance Writers Monthly Meeting

LOCATION: Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport Hotel

DIRECTIONS: I-95 to Griffin Road exit
(Exit 26). Go east on Griffin and make a right at
the first light into the Sheraton parking area.
PARKING: There is a charge of $5.00 for
self-parking. Take a ticket when you enter and when
you leave be sure to tell the parking attendant you were
attending the FRW event. OR
park around the corner at the DCOTA center for free.
PROGRAM:
Atwitter over Twitter? Mesmerized by MySpace?
Join Neil Plakcy and FRW on June 13th for
an informative session on the exploding world of Social
Networking. Neil Plakcy's first M/M romance novel, GayLife.com,
is due out in June from MLR Press. An avid computer geek
since high school, he has been online since the days of
BBS systems. He enjoys spending time on social networking
sites such as MySpace, Facebook and Twitter, where he has
reconnected with old friends, publicized books and events,
and cemented relationships with fans around the world.
Plakcy is also the author of Mahu, Mahu Surfer, Mahu
Fire and Mahu Vice (August 2009), mystery
novels which take place in Hawaii, and has edited several
anthologies. He is a journalist, book reviewer and assistant
professor of English at Broward College’s south campus in
Pembroke Pines as well as vice president of the Florida
chapter of Mystery Writers of America.
