Once again, the Florida Romance Writers are setting sail. After last year's wonderful experience, we have decided to recharge our creativity next January, on Carnival's Destiny, with an informal 'MUSE CRUISE'.
This is not in place of our conference, and it is certainly not a conference. Think of it as an inspirational writer's retreat amongst the cruising masses. We want to take time and refresh our craft and abilities in order to produce fantastic manuscripts during 2010. For those interested in a more formal setting, FRW Fun In the Sun Conference will be cruising in 2011.
For the Muse Cruise, we have been able to secure a great and economical group rate, via Mel Mendelsohn and Cruise Planners, on board the Carnival's Destiny ship. There is no conference fee, since this is an informal-formal gathering of writers. FRW is not making a dime, speakers are a volunteer basis, and this is a time to give back as much as it is to get. January is the perfect time to give your muse a boost...being together and sharing industry and craft knowledge is truly priceless.

To add to the experience, FRW will invite two industry professionals to join us. The cost for the editors/agents will be absorbed completely by FRW and not passed to participants. It's the group's way to give back to our members and the writing community. Details and names of guests will be sent to registered participants via email so that appointments can be set once they have confirmed that they can travel with us.
Due to the demand and intimate nature of this event, we will not be doing any 'formal' advertising. However, all writers are welcome to join while there is space available. If you cruised with us in 2009, you are receiving this email and are encouraged to share it with friends. We, FRW, enjoyed your company and would love to see you again.

These are the group rates. They include $50/cabin on-board credit and a joint cocktail party.
FRW STANDS TO MAKE NO MONEY.
To keep things easy and quick, I've included the registration form below. You can cut and paste it into an email or word document, complete it and return it to me at aleka@alekanakis.com . There is money involved... The deposit is $150.00 per person and must be made at time of booking. The good thing is that the total cost is very low and the balance is not due till November.
Once the cabins in our current block are booked, we're closing registration. We will not add a new block of cabins.
